"25 Minutes"는 Michael Learns to Rock의 두 번째 스튜디오 앨범 <Colours>에 수록된 곡으로 앨범의 세번째 싱글로 발매되었다. 이 곡 역시 밴드의 핵심인 보컬리스트 Jascha Richter가 작곡한 Rock- Ballad 혹은 Power-Ballad로 분류되는 곡으로 유럽과 아시아에서의 열광적인 사랑을 받았지만, 이상할 정도로 전세계의 가장 큰 시장이라고 할 수 있는 미국과 영국 시장에서는 외면 받았다.

밴드 이름을 "Michael Learns to Rock"으로 만든 이유는 당시의 유행을 따라했기 때문이었는데, 당시에는 Johnny Hates Jazz 라던가 Frankie Goes to Hollywood 등의 밴드 이름이 유행하던 시절이었고, Jascha Richter는 덴마크 고등학교 영어 교과서의 챕터중에 Rock Concert에 참가하는 Pop Band의 이야기에서 아이디어를 얻어 Pop의 제왕이었던 Michael Jackson이 Rock 을 배운다는 밴드 이름을 만들었다.

90년대 초반 한국에서는 이들을 매우 거친 Rock이나 Metal음악을 잘 모르는 대중들에게, 듣기 편하고 거부감 없이 쉽게 Rock과 친숙해 질 수 있도록 가르쳐 주는 길잡이를 자청한 Rock 밴드라고 소개를 하곤 했었다.

대체 방송국에서는 무슨 근거로 이 밴드를 그렇게 소개했는지는 몰라도, 한국인들은 거부감없이 이들의 음악을 받아들였고, 많은 곡들이 히트하며 많은 사랑을 받았던 것이 사실이다.

가사는 헤어지고 난 후 시간이 흐른후에야 상대방에 대한 확신이 생겼지만, 힘겹게 다시 그녀를 찾아냈을때는 이미 결혼식을 치룬 후였다는 내용을 다루는데, 인간은 무언가를 상실하기 전에는 그것이 얼마나 소중했는지 알지 못한다는 불변의 진리를 Jascha Richter의 애절한 목소리를 통해서 다시금 깨닫게 된다.
