"Anti-Hero"는 미국의 싱어송라이터 Taylor Swift의 10번째 스튜디오 앨범 <Midnights>의 수록곡으로 Taylor Swift 와 Jack Antonoff가 함께 만들고 프로듀싱 하였다.

 

 

빌보드 HOT100에서 HOT SHOT데뷔로 1위를 차지했고, 영국, 캐나다, 호주, 뉴질랜드, 아일랜드, 포르투칼, 싱가포르, 필리핀, 말레이시아, 인도네시아등에서도 차트 1위를 차지했으며, 그외의 30여개 국가의 차트에서 TOP 10에 위치하며 큰 사랑을 받았다.

 

<Midnights>앨범은 엄청난 돌풍을 일으켰는데, 빌보드 HOT100의 1위~10위까지가 모두  Taylor Swift의 이 앨범의 수록곡으로 채워졌다.

 

 

"Anti-Hero"는 빌보드 HOT100에서 HOT SHOT 데뷔한 그녀의 5번째 노래가 되었는데, 역사적으로 HOT SHOT 데뷔를 5곡을 한 유일한 솔로가수로 기록되었고, 전세계에서 가장 큰 스트리밍 공급자인 Spotify의 역사상 가장 큰 오프닝 데이 스트리밍으로 북미와 전 세계의 기록을 경신하기도 했다.

이 곡은 Taylor Swift의 Nightmare(악몽), Depersonalization(이인증 : 자아의식 장애)화 및 Self-Hatred(자기 증오)에 대한 그녀의 문제들에서 영감을 받아 본인의 shortcoming(결점)과 societal pressures(사회적 압력을 비판) 하는 내용을 담고 있는데, 평단에서도 광범위한 평론가들은 이 곡에 대해 Direct Lyricism(직접적인 서정성), Catchy Rhythm(중독성 있는 리듬), Synth-Based Instrumentation(신스 기반 악기), Vocal Tone(보컬 톤)을 극찬했다.

 

 

그리고 Taylor Swift 본인이 감독한 뮤직비디오 또한 열광적 지지를 받고 있는데, 그녀의 세 가지 각기 다른 incarnation(화신)을 사용하여 그녀의 fears(두려움), insecurities(불안), eating disorder(섭식장애 : 거식증)을 묘사했다.
