마이클 잭슨과 캐나다의 싱어송라이터인 폴 앵카가 프로듀싱 했던 곡으로, 1983년에 첫 데모 녹음이 이루어졌었고, MJ가 떠난 후인 2014년에 발표 되었다.
세간에서는 '새롭게 재창조된 이 트랙이 오히려 70년대의 잭슨즈 시기나 필리-소울의 무드를 재현하는 느낌을 주고, MJ의 목소리뿐 아니라 원곡에 레코딩, 폴 앵카의 피아노 연주까지 그대로 남겨놓았으며, 이를 토대로 80년대의 MJ를 성공적으로 부활 시켜내었다고 하는데.. 개인적으로는 그냥 어떤 방식으로라도 MJ를 다시 만난다는 반가움에 기뻤을 뿐이었다.
이미 떠나버린 제왕의 이름을 계속 팔아먹으려고 SONY MUSIC과 유족 재단의 콜라보레이션이 계속해서 만들어내는 MJ의 이름을 내건 사후 앨범들을 좋아하지 않는다.
MJ가 작곡하고 녹음했었지만, 불만족 스러워서 재켜놨었던 노래들을, 그것도 완성된 것도 아닌 데모 녹음 정도만 하고 믹싱조차 안했던 습작들중에서 자기들의 입맛에 맞는 곳들을 막 내놓는 형태에 전세계 수많은 팬들이 불만을 토하면서도 듣게 되는것은.....
이렇게나마 MJ를 다시 만날 수 있다는 반가움과 그리움에 기인한 것일테고, 돈을 버는 것은 생전 MJ를 노예계약을 하려했던 몹쓸 SONY MUSIC 과 유족 재단이라는 MJ가 떠난이후에도 평생을 모기처럼 달라붙어서 빨아먹는 인간 흡혈귀들일 뿐.
MIchael Jackson이 없는 세상은 모든면에서 그가 제왕이었던 80년대나 90년대만큼 낭만적이고 사람냄새나는 세상이 아니게 되어 버렸다.
더 더러운 꼴 안보고 급히 떠나게 된 것이 오히려 좋은 일이었는지도 모르겠다는 생각을 해본다.
