End of the Road - Boyz II Men.1992(이야기들)

"End of the Road"는 미국의 R&B 보컬 그룹 Boyz II Men이 영화 <Boomerang>의 오리지널 사운드트랙으로 제작된 곡으로 그룹의 데뷔앨범인 <Cooleyhighharmony>에도 수록되었는데, Babyface(본명:Kenneth Edmonds) & Antonio "L.A." Reid & Daryl Simmonsfksms의 당대 최고의 프로듀서 3명이 의기투합하여 심열을 기울여 함께 만들었고, 프로듀싱까지 함께 하였다.

 

 

영화 <Boomerang>의 오리지널 사운드트랙의 두 번째 싱글로 발표되어 빌보드 HOT100에서 무려 13주동안 1위를 차지하는 대기록을 세웠으며, 영국, 캐나다, 호주, 유로HOT100, 아일랜드, 네덜란드, 뉴질랜드등에서 차트 1위를 차지했으며, 프랑스, 독일, 벨기에, 덴마크, 노르웨이, 파나마, 스웨덴, 스위스등에서 TOP10에 들며 전세계적으로 크게 사랑받았다.

 

 

특히 빌보드 HOT100 차트에서 13주 연속 1위라는 역사상 최조의 대기록을 세우며 전세계의 이목을 집중시켰었는데, 이 기록은 이듬해 Whitney Houston의 생에 최대 히트곡인 영화 <Bodyguard>의 오리지널 사운드트랙 "I Will Always Love You"가 14주 연속 1위라는 신기록을 세우며 깨지게 되지만,

1995년 Mariah Carey와 듀엣으로 부른 "One Sweet Day" 로 무려 16주 연속 1위라는 신기록을 세우며 다시금 신기록을 세우기도 했다.

 

 

그리고 1993년 Grammy ward에서는 Best R&B Performance by a Duo or GroupWith Vocal(베스트 R&B 그룹 부문)과 Best R&B Song(베스트 R&B송) 두 개부문에서 수상하며 상업적 성공과 수상의 영예를 모두 가져가며 자신들의 전성기를 본격적으로 열기 시작했다
