"Didn't We Almost Have It All"은 세계3대 디바로 전설이 된 Whitney Houston의 두 번째 스튜디오 앨범 <Whitney>의 수록곡으로 Michael Masser와 Will Jennings가 만들었고 작곡하고 Michael Masser가 프로듀싱 하였다.

 

 

앨범의 두 번째 싱글로 발매되어 빌보드 HOT100에서 2주간 1위를 차지하였고 무려 17주동안 차트인하는 기염을 토했다. 또한 빌보드 Adult Contemporary와 캐나다 Adult Contemporary에서도 1위를 차지하였으며, 영국, 아일랜드, 벨기에, 네덜란드, 스페인, 스위스등에서 TOP20에 들며 사랑받았다. 이 곡으로 Whitney Houston은 싱글로 발표한 5곡이 연속으로 모두 빌보드 HTO100에서 1위를 차지하는 기록을 세우기도 했다.
