"It's Beginning to Look Lot Like Christmas"는 Meredith Willson이 1951년에 작곡한 크리스마스 노래로, 원래 제목은 "It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas"였다고 한다.
이 곡은 많은 아티스트들에 의해 불려졌는데, 1951년 Perry Como & The Fontane Sisters & Mitchell Ayres 의 버전이 히트하였다.
하지만 가장 널리 알려지고 많은 사랑을 받았던 것은 같은해인 1951년 Bing Crosby가 녹음한 버전이었다.
그리고 80년대 중반 이후로 계속 사랑을 받아온 버전은 Johnny Mathis가 커버한 버전인데, Johnny Mathis는 1986년 그의 앨범 <Christmas Eve>에 이 노래를 수록했고, 영화 <Home Alone 2 : Lost in New York>(나홀로 집에 2)에 OST로 삽입된 후 전세계적으로 사랑을 받았다. 이 영화 이후 계속해서 Johnny Mathis의 버전이 라디오의 전파를 많이 타게 되면서 그가 커버한 버전이 수년간 계속해서 빌보드 Top 10 크리스마스 히트곡이 된다.
* 번외로 높이뛰기 대표 선수이자, 농구선수등 만능 스포츠 맨으로도 유명했던 Johnny Mathis는 1998년 "Chances Are", 2002년 "Misty", 2008년 "It's Not for Me to Say" 등 3개의 레코드로 Grammy Hall of Fame(그래미 명예의 전당)에 헌액되었다.
