"Fool Again"은 아일랜드의 보이 밴드 Westlife의 노래로 그들의 셀프 타이틀 데뷔 앨범 <Westlife>의 다섯 번째이자 마지막 싱글로 발매되었다.

 

Jörgen Elofsson, David Kreuger, Per Magnusson이 작곡하였고, David Kreuger, Per Magnusson이 프로듀싱한 이 곡은 Westlife 데뷔앨범의 5번째 싱글이면서 동시에 그들의 5연속 UK 싱글차트 No.1 히트송이 되었고, 차트에서 12주를 머무르며 많은 사랑을 받았다.

이 곡의 뮤직비디오는 멕시코시티에서 촬영되었는데, YouTube에서는 현재까지 1억 2000만 조회수를 앞두고 있다.

 

 

가사가 이쁜 곡으로도 유명한데, 하나하나 살펴보면 참 쉬운 문장들임에도 불구하고 멋진 표현들이 많다. 이 곡은 내가 군대를 전역한 후에 발표되었기에 잘 몰랐는데, 2000년대 중반에는 학교에서 영어 시간에 문장패턴의 [조동사, 조동사 + have +pp 형태]를 공부할 때 많이 인용되어서 한국 학생들에게는 많이 친숙한 Westlife.
