"Bad Romance"는 Lady Gaga의 리패키지 앨범인 <The Fame Monster>에 수록된 곡으로, Stefani Germanotta 와 Nadir "RedOne" Khayat 이 작곡하고 Lady Gaga와 Nadir "RedOne" Khayat 이 프로듀싱 하였다.

본 앨범의 첫 번째 싱글로 발매되어 전세계적으로 무려 1,300만장이라는 어마어마한 판매고를 올리며 그녀 커리어 사상 최고의 명곡인 동시에 그녀의 아이덴티티가 된 곡이며, 또한 GRAMMY AWARDS에서 3개부문을 수상하여 명예까지 동시에 안겨준 곡이다.

<The Fame Monster>의 장르는 전작과 같은 일렉트로닉 댄스 팝이지만, 전작인 <The Fame>이 상대적으로 가볍고 클럽음악에 가까운 분위기였다면, <The Fame Monster>은 괴물이라는 컨셉을 가지고 더 어둡고 더 진지한 음악으로 나오게 되었다. 또한 8개의 트랙 모두 각각 Lady Gaga 본인이 두려움을 가지고 있는 주제들로 이루어져 있다.
