"Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas"는 Hugh Martin과 Ralph Blane이 1943년에 작곡하고 Judy Garland가 1944년 MGM 뮤지컬 <Meet Me in St. Louis>에서 불렀던 오리지널 곡으로 Frank Sinatra 와 Ella Fitzgerald를 비롯하여 다양한 아티스트들이 가사를 약간씩 수정하여 커버 버전을 발표 했을 정도로 친숙한 크리스마스 곡이다.
Ella Fitzgerald는 1960년 <Ella Wishes You a Swinging Christmas>앨범에 이 커버 버전을 수록하였는데, Frank DeVol이 편곡 & 지휘한 스튜디오 오케스트라와 함께 1960년 여름에 녹음되었고, 육중하지만 아름다운 그녀의 음성을 즐길 수 있고, 많은 사랑을 받은 앨범이기에 세월이 흘러감에도 수 차례 재발매 되기도 했다 .
