"Let Me Be There"는 미국의 가수 Olivia Newton John의 1973년 동명의 앨범 <Let Me Be There>의 수록곡으로 John Rostill이 만들었고, Bruce Welch와 John Farrar이 프로듀싱 하였다.

 

 

앨범의 두 번째 싱글로 발표된 이 곡은 빌보드 HOT 100에서 6위에 올랐고, 캐나다 5위, 호주와 뉴질랜드에서 11위에 오르는등 많은 사랑을 받았고, 그녀의 첫 번째 빌보드 TOP 10진입을 해준 곡이었다.

 

 

 상업적인 성공과 더불어 그녀 인생의 첫 번째 Grammy 상을 수상하게 해준 곡이었는데, Olivia Newton John은 이 곡으로 Grammy Award 에서 Best Female Country Vocalist(최우수 여성 컨트리 보컬 퍼포먼스)부문을 수상하며 수상의 영예도 함께 가져다 주었다.

이 곡은 특이하게도 로큰롤의 제왕 Elvis Presley(엘비스 프레슬리)가 커버하였는데, 라이브로 녹음하여 1977년 그가 사망할 때까지 수많은 콘서트에서 이 곡을 노래했다, 그중에서 가장 유명한 공연은 1974년 3월 Tennessee

(테네시)주의 Memphis(멤피스)에서 라이브로 녹음된 버전으로, 후에 1977년 <Moody Blue>앨범에 수록되어 발매되었다.

1974년 앨범 <Sweet Rhode Island Red>에 커버 버전을 수록하였다.

*이채연 버전 :
