"Evergreen"은 캐나다의 싱어송라이터인 Susan Jacks의 앨버 <Ghost>의 수록곡으로 Joe Tanner가 만들었고, Terry Jacks가 프로듀싱 하였다.

 

 

빌보드 차트에서는 두각을 나타내지 못했지만, 그녀의 부드러운 보컬과 서정적인 선율이 이 곡을 Easy Listening 곡으로 만들어 주었고 한국인이 가장 사랑하는 팝송 37위에 올랐다.

 

 

우리나라에서는 1992년에 방영되어 공전의 히트를 기록했던 드라마 <아들과 딸>에서 "후남이"의 테마곡으로 사용되면서 크게 인기를 끌었다.

 

 

오리지널곡은 미국의 싱어송라이터인 Roy Kelton Orbison이 1962년 발표한 버전이 있지만 한국에는 거의 알려져 있지 않다.
