"Pull Me Under"는 1992년에 발매한 앨범<Images and Words>의 첫 번째 트랙이자 첫 번째 싱글로 밴드의 대표곡으로 널리 알려진 가장 성공한 곡이다. MTV등의 매체에서도 큰 인기를 얻어, 밴드 내에서 상업적으로 히트한 몇 안 되는 곡 중 하나로 꼽힌다.

 

 

 

이 곡은 아무런 홍보를 하지않았음에도 불구하고 자생적으로 라디오에서 인기를 끌기 시작했고, 이에 소속사였던 ATCO Record는 급히 뮤직 비디오를 만들었고, 이 뮤직 비디오는 MTV에서 큰 인기를 끌면서 밴드의 최고 히트곡이 된다.

 

 

 

이 곡은 프로모션 싱글과 뮤직 비디오로 발매되었는데, 4분 48초 길이의 짧은 버전을 기반으로 한 뮤직비디오는 밴드가 공연하는 클립과 모호한 스토리 라인을 번갈아 가며 보여주는데, 정작 밴드 멤버들은 곡의 주제와 관련이 없다며 뮤직비디오의 스토리에 불평을 했던 것으로 알려져 있다
