"Caribbean Blue"는 아일랜드의 음악가 Enya의 세 번째 정규 앨범인 <Shepherd Moons>의 수록곡으로 Enya가 작곡하고 Roma Ryan이 작사하였으며 Nicky Ryan이 프로듀싱 하였다.

 

 

 

앨범의 두 번째 트랙으로 수록된 이곡은 싱글컷 되어 빌보드 HOT100에서 79위까지 올랐고, 영국에서 13위를 비롯하여, 벨기에, 캐나다, 유로HOT 100, 아일랜드, 네덜란드, 뉴질랜드, 스웨덴, 스위스등 다수의 국가에서 TOP 40에 들며 많은 사랑을 받았다.

*Roma Ryan과 Nicky Ryan은 부부로, 아내인 Roma Ryan은 Enya의 주요 작사가로 활동했고, 남편 Nicky Ryan은 프로듀서로 협업했는데, Enya는 이들의 기여가 없이는 Enya도 없었다고 했을만큼 중요한 음악적 동지였다.

 

 

뮤직 비디오는 Michael Geoghegan이 감독했는데, 특유의 채도가 높은 색조와 이상화된 신고전주의 이미지로 유명한 화가이자 일러스트레이터인 Maxfield Parrish의 그림을 기반으로 한 시각적 이미지를 특징으로 하며 제작되었다.
