1988년 발매되어 New Kids On The Block을 단숨에 대스타로 만들어준 그들의 두 번째 엘범 <Hangin Tough>에 수록되어 빌보드 HOT 100 1위, 아일랜드 차트 2위, UK 차트 5위등 많은 사랑을 받았던 곡.

5명의 건강미 넘치는 10대로 구성된 NKOTB는 Boy Band라는 개념을 성립한 것으로 지금까지도 널리 인정받는 그룹인데,

이들의 앨범은 전세계적으로 누적 70,000,000장 판매라는 어마어마한 기록을 가졌으며, 공연 수익 또한 80년대 후반~90년대 초반에 수억달러를 거둬 들였으니, 현재의 값어치로 봤을때 Billions(조단위)의 수익을 얻었던 Teen Pop의 선구자였다.

60년대의 British Invasion을 통해 촉발된 Garrage Rock / Hard Rock / Psychedelic rock 의 유행과, 70년대의 Funk / Disco 열풍 속에서 10대는 문화산업에서 철저히 배제되어 있었던 계층이었다.

70~80년대가 되면서 미국 사회에는 사회의 다수를 이루는 경제적 중산계층이 떠올랐고, 이런 중산층 가정의 아이들을 포함한 10대 아이들은 인류 역사상 가장 안전하고 윤택한 유년시절을 보낼 수 있는 시대가 되었는데, 부모로 부터 다양한 선물을 받고 용돈을 받아 주체적 소비를 하는 10대는 이미 매우 거대하고 주요한 소비계층으로 떠올랐다.

이 시기에 Maurice Starr라는 걸출한 프로듀서는 이런 흐름을 꿰뚫어 1982년 New Edition 이라는 밴드로 미국의 음반 문화 시장을 타진하면서 새로운 시장의 개척을 확신하였고, New Kids On The Block을 데뷔시키며 대성공을 했다.
